I’m so excited to be the PTSA President this year at
Lakeridge and work with our amazing administration, faculty and staff. Thanks to so many great parents for
signing up for volunteer opportunities, and joining the PTSA. Your support is crucial to our success.
No More Sucker Sales
This year, legislation was passed with a new federal mandate
that foods that are sold in schools during school hours meet certain USDA
standards. Unfortunately, suckers
do not meet the new federal standards and can no longer be sold during
lunch. This new policy also means
that, as the Lakeridge Jr. High PTSA , we have lost our fundraiser. In addition to being fun for the kids,
Sucker Sales brought in around $2500 for the PTSA. On this small budget, we were able to run all of our
programs.

New Fundraiser
Without Sucker Sales we need a new fundraiser so that the
PTSA can continue to provide all theses great programs here at Lakeridge Jr.
High. Fortunately, we’ve found a great program that will help the PTSA and SAVE
YOU MONEY by providing great discounts at businesses you shop at everyday!
The best way to explain what we’re selling is to compare it
to a mobile “Happenings” book.
We’ve teamed up with Safe Fundraising Inc. to do an ALL ONLINE
fundraiser! You can:
-Download the app and get discounts locally
-Update your location and get local discounts when you
travel
-No searching a large coupon book or having to remember
discount cards—it’s all on your phone and online.

Fundraiser Timeline
My focus is helping the school and I want to spend as little
time fundraising as possible. So
our fundraiser will be completed in two phases that are each only 3 days long.
Phase 1.
-The fundraiser will only last 3
DAYS! October 13th, 14th,
and 15th
-You will receive an email link that will allow you to
purchase one of three Safe Fundraising Discount Programs. - $25.00 $50.00 or $100.00
-The more you spend on our fundraiser, the more savings
categories you’ll get!

Phase 2.
-This phase will run from November
11th thru the 13th.
-You will receive your own personalized URL that you can
give to family and friends telling them about the great discount program and
asking them to support our school by buying the App themselves.
-Forward the emails about our fundraiser to family, friends
and co-workers.
-There will be great prizes for the kids, so prepare to get
the word out!
By just buying an App that will pay you back over and over
again, and then sharing the program with others, our fundraising will be done
for the year!
